But it is a matter of relief that out of the old infected patients, the home isolation of 20 has been completed. The number of active corona patients still in the district is 85.
The process of getting new corona infected patients is going on in the district for a month. The newly found patients are from Durg, Bhilai, Risali, Charoda areas. According to the information received from the District Health Department, in view of the current situation of infection, the number of corona tests in the district has been increased. Corona test of 450 to 500 people is being done daily. In the month of June, maximum 26 new patients have been found on Saturday. But the recovery situation of newly infected patients is also good. At the same time, keeping in mind the situation of infection rate, emphasis is being laid on vaccination by the Health Department. According to the information received from the Health Department, a total of 3694 people were vaccinated in the district on Saturday. Out of which 763 beneficiaries have been given first, 1812 beneficiaries second and 1119 beneficiaries have been given booster dose. So far 26 lakh 94 thousand 865 doses of vaccine have been administered in the district. Out of which booster dose has been given to 90910 beneficiaries. At the same time, 13 lakh 75 thousand 617 beneficiaries have been given the first dose and 12 lakh 28 thousand 338 beneficiaries have been given the second dose. So far, the first dose of the vaccine has been administered to 96 percent of the beneficiaries and the second dose to 86 percent of the beneficiaries.
Instructions for making arrangements for protection from natural disaster
Durg Corporation Mayor Dheeraj Bakliwal and in-charge Corporation Commissioner Ashish Devangan took a meeting of officers-employees at the corporation’s data center on Saturday. In which instructions were given to make arrangements regarding relief and prevention of possible natural calamities in monsoon. Keeping in view the possible natural calamity during monsoon, a flood control room has been set up in the Durg Corporation office. The telephone number of the control room is 0788 2322148. This control room will function 24 hours a day. Assistant Engineer SD Sharma has been made the nodal officer for monitoring, arrangement and editing of all the above works. The Mayor and the Commissioner directed that in the inaccessible areas of the city, where it would not be possible to reach in the event of floods, adequate quantity of food, life saving medicines etc. would be stored there as per rules. He said that keeping in view the purity and cleanliness of drinking water, arrangement of bleaching powder etc. should be ensured in hand pumps etc. so that pure drinking water is available. Such areas should be identified where there is a possibility of floods every year. Emphasis was laid on cleaning the drains of waterlogged areas. Deputy Commissioner Monendra Sahu, Executive Engineer Rajesh Pandey, Assistant Engineer RK Jain and officers of various departments of the corporation were present in the meeting.
