Bhind Crime: Magisterial inquiry set in case of prisoner Brajendra Jatav death, sp shailendra singh suspended 3 policemen

Bhind. The death of a prisoner lodged in Bhind’s Gohad sub-jail has created a ruckus. The relatives of the deceased prisoner along with the villagers gheraoed the SP office. The relatives accused the policemen of murder and demanded action. This issue has now also taken a political color in the region. The BSP also accused the police personnel of murder and demanded jobs and compensation for the relatives. The former MLA of Ater has also demanded a high-level inquiry into the entire matter. In this case, Bhind SP immediately suspended three policemen including a sub-inspector of Umri police station. A judicial inquiry has also been set up on the entire matter. The post-mortem of the dead body was conducted in Gwalior under the supervision of a government panel.

According to the information, the deceased Brijendra Jatav was lodged in Gohad sub-jail. He died during treatment in Gwalior. The deceased, a resident of Akaha village, was arrested by the Umri police station on December 7 in the case of Excise Act. On December 8, when his health deteriorated, he was admitted to the Gohad Community Health Center for treatment. From here the doctors referred him to Gwalior. Brijendra died on Thursday at Jairogya Hospital in Gwalior. As soon as the family got the news of his death, there was uproar in Akaha village. The relatives of the deceased, along with the villagers of Akaha village, surrounded the SP office, Brijendra’s relatives say that the policemen arrested him from the house and took him to the police station while beating him. After this, he was severely beaten up in Umri police station too. Because of this, Brajendra died.

Demand for compensation of 50 lakhs and government job

In this case, BSP district president Dilip Buddh directly accused the policemen of Umri police station of murder and demanded a compensation of Rs 50 lakh to the kin of the deceased as well as a government job to a family member. At the same time, Bhind MLA Sanjeev Singh Kushwaha told that the postmortem of the deceased Brajendra has been done under the supervision of the panel. He has also been videographed, whatever facts will come out and whoever is found guilty, no matter who is the officer, action will definitely be taken against him. In this case, former Ater MLA and Congress leader Hemant Katare questioned the functioning of the police.

Three policemen immediately suspended

On the other hand, seeing the matter increasing, Bhind SP Shailendra Singh has suspended three policemen including a sub-spector of Umri police station on the demand of the relatives of the deceased. SP Singh says that a judicial inquiry is being conducted into this entire matter and whatever further action will be taken, it will be done on the basis of investigation. Police say that Brijendra Jatav has an old criminal record. Several cases of Excise Act have been registered on him. Apart from this, there is also a serious charge like murder against him.
